Fall 2006: Far East and Ancient Russia
(December 26, 2006)Nail trends for this winter not only include luxe fabrics (including fur) and tweeds - which demand high-gloss nail color - but designs are inspired by such disparate yet demanding styles of the 1950s, the 1980s, the Far East and old Russia, says Essie Weingarten, president and founder of Essie Cosmetics Ltd, according to the beauty-pages of iVillage. Colors this season are so indulgent, she adds, that she named her fall collection after candies, including dark chocolate truffle, pecan, bitter chocolate, toffee and raspberry cream.
